Matcha is made from the same plant as green tea. According to Healthline, it has been shown to increase brain function, promote heart health, support weight loss and safeguard the liver. It is also rich in antioxidants, with some studies demonstrating its ability to protect against cancer. Matcha contains caffeine, so keep this in mind if that is something you try to avoid. We think this superfood is the perfect addition to your smoothies!

To create this magical matcha smoothie, grab your blender and combine plain Greek yogurt, matcha powder, spinach and pure vanilla extract. Feel free to also add in some stevia or another zero-calorie sweetener of your choice. Blend this until smooth and pour into your favorite bowl. Finish it off with a sprinkle of chia seeds and cacao nibs. Serve with a spoon and enjoy your beautiful breakfast bowl!

One serving of this low-carb Matcha Smoothie Bowl is 280 calories. Feel free to throw in some other leafy greens that you enjoy!  You could also sprinkle different nuts and seeds on top, such as pumpkin seeds, hemp hearts or almonds.
