If you’re like us, then you’re usually rushing to get out the door on time each morning. This low-carb, chia yogurt recipe makes eating healthy feasible with just two simple steps and a few simple ingredients.
This breakfast doesn’t just taste good but it’s also good for you. According to Healthline, chia seeds are rich in fiber, protein and omega-3 fatty acids. Plus, they’re high in antioxidants and may decrease the risk of heart disease. Talk about a superfood!
Cooking with chia seeds might sound intimidating. But in reality, this healthy recipe couldn’t be easier to whip up! Simply add yogurt, almonds, turmeric, cinnamon and chia seeds to a jar or glass container. In a couple of minutes, your seeds will be transformed into a creamy, dreamy, smooth pudding. Enjoy it immediately or store it in the refrigerator overnight. This will allow the chia seeds to absorb the yogurt and expand overnight. The longer you let the yogurt sit, the brighter yellow the yogurt will become.
Healthy Hacks: Try this pudding topped with fresh fruit and granola, but feel free to go crazy with your favorite toppings! Nut butters and sugar-free jams are all great mix-ins. Check out the South Beach Diet Grocery Guide so you know how to count your additions! You can also add a bit of sweetness with a little monk fruit, stevia or erythritol.
This creamy chia pudding recipe is packed with flavor and hearty ingredients for a sweet and filling start to your day. It’s the ultimate breakfast or morning snack that will leave you feeling satisfied and energized.
