Mornings just got a lot more glamorous thanks to this 1-Minute “Golden Milk” Yogurt recipe.This amazingly simple and healthy recipe is everything you’d ever want from yogurt—and a whole lot more. Full fat Greek yogurt lays a heavy, filling base for the experimental mind. Chia seeds and almonds provide plenty of healthy fat and nutrients, but give the crunch every breakfast-er deserves.
Cinnamon adds a light, natural sweetness and tumeric is just the piece de resistance! Tumeric’s beautiful shade of yellow gives 1-Minute “Golden Milk” Yogurt pizazz and is the talk of the town for all of its proposed health benefits—fighting arthritis, joint pain, heart pain, high cholesterol and headaches.
Phase: Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3
- .5 Healthy Fat
- 1 Lean Protein
- ½ cup or 5.3 oz. Greek yogurt, plain, whole milk
- ½ Tbsp. chia seeds
- 1 Tbsp. almonds, unsalted, sliced
- ¼ tsp. almond extract
- ½ tsp. turmeric spice
- 1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
- Place all ingredients into container of choice, stirring well to combine.
- Enjoy immediately or store in the refrigerator overnight, if you would prefer to allow the chia seeds to absorb the yogurt and expand overnight. Note: the longer you let the yogurt sit, the brighter yellow the yogurt will become.
