South Beach Diet: Your Total Weight Loss SolutionArticle posted in: Diet & Nutrition South Beach Diet
What the heck happened in 2020?! One minute we were planning vacations and get-togethers and the next minute, we were cancelling. For months we’ve had to quarantine, work from home and social distance. And while we were home, we ate. Everything. Takeout. Ice cream. Snacks. Wine. Sound familiar? The only bright spot in all of this is that you’re not alone—even if you’re still technically spending a lot of time alone. Millions of people just like you are dealing with the same reality and they’re ready to turn the page. They’re ready to have their lives and bodies back. The good news is, it’s possible with America’s most famous low-carb diet plan: The South Beach Diet. Catch the wave and learn more about this total weight loss solution below!:
You say “Go!” and we send you great-tasting, fully prepared meals. You can even choose a plan with snacks and shakes! Think of South Beach Diet like a total weight loss solution delivered to your door. Our meals are also pre-portioned, so you can stick to your weight loss meal plan with ease. Some options are conveniently frozen and some are purse or office-drawer friendly. This way, you’ll never be forced to choose something off plan, no matter where your day takes you.
We also understand that you need a flexible weight loss plan that fits into your lifestyle. On our program, you’ll prepare weekly DIY meals following our simple guidelines, so you can continue to enjoy life as you lose weight. We’ve got hundreds of recipes at your disposal, as well as tips for dining out or ordering takeout from your favorite restaurants. (More on that later!)
The Meal Plan Structure
Your first seven days on South Beach Diet begins with a One-Week Reboot. You will follow the Quick Start Guide that you received in your order. Going into week two, you will have more flexibility while continuing to experience steady weight loss. You will follow the Grocery Guide & Meal Plan booklet in your order. During this weight loss phase, ladies will stick to 1,200 to 1,300 calories a day; men will eat 1,500 to 1,600 calories. You’ll also get to add in your favorite fresh grocery add ins—veggies, nuts, eggs, meats, cheese and other dairy products. Depending on your starting weight and/or activity level, you may need more calories. If this is the case for you, speak to a Weight Loss Counselor to your review your meal plan in more detail.
The South Beach Diet plan is designed for you to eat six times per day: three meals and three snacks. This keeps you satisfied and can prevent overeating at a “regular” meal. However, our total weight loss solution is flexible and can easily fit into your lifestyle! Some people may find that rather than eating six times per day, eating three times per day works better for their lifestyle and health goals. If you prefer to eat three larger meals per day, we recommend incorporating your three snacks into your breakfast, lunch and dinner.
When you reach your goal weight, you’ll transition to our Weight Maintenance Phase with the South Beach Diet Success Plan. You will increase your calorie intake and some people may even wish to increase their carbohydrates. You have the option to increase your net carb intake to 75 to 100 grams each day (Low-Carb meal plan) or stay with 50 grams of net carbs per day (Very-Low-Carb meal plan). You can begin to incorporate fruits (berries) into your diet as well as whole-grain breads and snacks. Even the occasional glass of wine or beer can be enjoyed!
It’s difficult to stick to a diet that completely eliminates carbs (which naturally exist in every type of food except meat). A zero-carb diet also cuts out the fiber, vitamins and minerals your body needs from foods—primarily vegetables, whole grains and fruit. The South Beach Diet is a low carb, not a zero carb diet. Therefore, it fits with your lifestyle and it fuels your body with the nutrients it requires.
You can’t talk about healthful foods without mentioning the most healthful beverage out there: Water. You’ll need to drink plenty of water on South Beach Diet. We recommend half your body weight in ounces of fluid each day. For example, if you weigh 150 pounds, drink 75 ounces. Water helps with satiety, digestion and overall health and wellness.
A Diet Plan that Works: The Proof
The South Beach Diet is a doctor-designed, safe, effective weight loss plan. Originally created by world-renowned cardiologist, Dr. Arthur Agatston, M.D. (who practices, teaches and conducts research in Miami) to combat heart disease, the South Beach Diet was recommended by Dr. Agatston to his patients.
Dr. Agatston observed that his patients who followed the principles of the South Beach Diet lost weight safely and easily. The new South Beach Diet follows most of the core principles of the original South Beach Diet that was created by Dr. Agatston, with a few minor updates. These updates are based on the approach Dr. Agatston has adopted with his patients in clinical practice, which is based on the latest research in weight management.
The South Beach Diet is clinically proven to help you lose weight, with weight loss that you can see and feel in your very first week! Lose up to 7 pounds in your first 7 days* with our low-carb approach designed to reboot your body, burn fat and transform your metabolism.
