During the first phase, or your weight loss phase, you’ll eat plenty of proteins, heart-healthy fats and carbohydrates from non-starchy vegetables.
In Phase 2, or your weight maintenance phase, you’ll continue to enjoy adding proteins, healthy fats and vegetables. You’ll also begin to add in high-quality carbs from whole grains, fruit and starchy vegetables like sweet potatoes.
